Tampa, FL - This weekend at USYS National League Pro, two Utah Celtic FC boys teams qualified for the 2024 National Championships in Orlando, Florida this July.
The 2008 boys qualified for the second straight year, and will have the opportunity to defend their 2023 National Championship. The team beat Liverpool FCIA Maryland (MD) 4-0 on Friday, beat Cedar Stars (NJ) 3-1 on Saturday, and Ohio Galaxies (OH) in penalties on Sunday!
The 2005/06 Elite 64 boys qualified and will play to try to win their first USYS National Title. They beat FC Europa (PA) on Friday by a score of 4-0 and Impact United (UT) in penalties on Saturday. On Sunday they beat Oregon Premier 3-1 after falling to them in Elite 64 play back in December. On Monday they sealed their opportunity at the 2024 National Championships by beating Sporting Blue Valley (MO) 3-2.
Each team will pause play for high school soccer until this summer's tournament as they look to bring two more national championships to Utah Celtic FC.
