Former Utah Celtic FC player and current BYU women's soccer player Brecken Mozingo was finished her collegiate career as a finalist for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy Award, presented to the nation's top soccer player. Brecken helped the Cougars get to the College Cup in Cary, NC in 2023.

Brecken was a part of the 2000 Utah Celtic FC team coached by Steve Magleby that won the first club soccer national championship in 2019. She started her collegiate career at UCLA before transferring to BYU and helping take the Cougars to two Final Fours and one Elite Eight.

Brecken finished the 2023 season with 14 goals and 15 assists for the Cougars. She was instrumental throughout the season, but perhaps no moment was bigger than the Elite Eight comeback win vs North Carolina.
