The 2008 Boys NL team coached by Matt Bradley played their Fall 2023 season up a year in the 2007 Premier 1 division, and Saturday they became champions of the division with two matches to spare!
Matt's team decided to embrace a new challenge and compete against teams with players a year older. Amidst the physicality and speed, the 2008 boys found success, winning 7 of 8 matches so far and taking 22 of 24 possible points. The lone draw came Tuesday against second place Utah Surf, but the boys played them again on Saturday and secured the title with a 1-0 win.
The win gives the team their third title this season so far, after winning the USYS Far West Regional in June and the USYS National Championship in July.
The boys were also honored at halftime of the BYU Men's Soccer game against Boise State for their National Championship win.
The boys have two more regular season matches before competing in the UYSA State Cup beginning October 11.
